Jesse Bethel has been a pretty mediocre school. Through my four years of attendance I have gotten very far and used all the resources provided to the best of my ability, with little help. There are many improvements to the school that should be considered but it is not a bad place when you have a positive mindset.

I had the best four years at Jesse Bethel high school. The diversity amongst the staff and students weren’t like any school I have been to. The teachers were very straight forward with curriculum, always willing to lend a helping hand and overall amazing people. The only concern I had were the ongoing fights amongst the students.

Personally I enjoy how diverse the school is and how you could see any people from anywhere which makes me feel accepted because there is many people like me.

Starting high school during a pandemic definitely changed the way Jesse Bethel runs. I am a senior and have only and will only be able to attend two homecoming dances instead of four. Our sports team are small with less and less participation each year, and our campus needs a good cleaning. The teachers and staff always do there best to educate us and make sure that we understand.

The overall experience isn't bad. The teachers are nice, some of them are really great. There are definitely teachers who don't care. There tends to be no toilet paper and soap in the bathrooms sometimes though which can be quite inconvenient. Education-wise it's definitely not the best but it's not the worst either.

At the High School that I attend. Which is Jesse M. Bethel High School, my experience thus far has been pretty good! There are a lot of nice and friendly people at this school! They offer a lot of AP Classes which is great, and some teachers have really great relationships with the students. A good amount of teachers really put effort into the students learning, Although some of them are not really strict on students learning, which is a bad aspect of it. I think that Jesse M. Bethel High School should hire more interested teachers on campus at times. Another aspect that I do not really find great is that a specific counselor gets frustrated with students, which can make students on campus scared or nervous to ask questions! On the other hand, another good thing about this school is that they offer a lot of programs and clubs that can help students in their academic future.

Jesse Bethel is a nice school with a lot of nice people. Overall the staff there is pretty good but occasionally you'll find a bad egg there. The only complaint I have is that there were a lot of fights there. But the school did a good job to resolve those issues.

This school is amazing it has great staff and students. But fighting, threats, and teachers not being engaged with students and not caring is a big problem.

My worst experience was getting hit by a car on campus and getting bullied but i’ve had sa lot of good experience like participating in the language day and the school events like prom, homecoming, band concerts, senior nights, etc. My graduating class is alright we don’t get along well. All of my teachers were nice and i enjoyed taking their classes.

What a dump, they really tarnished this man’s name by housing bad teachers and students alike. The youth and future of vallejo right here, please do better everyone and get out while you can.

It is an awesome school. I got a lot of support from many teachers and they never made me feel not safe. Though their is always altercations between students. That never stopped my academic education.

The school helped me branch out and gave me opportunities to become someone I never knew I could be. I got the chance to play volleyball (three years, due to the pandemic in 2020), one of those years I was a captain. My junior year I got the opportunity to get pulled up to varsity and play in the playoffs. I got to be MVP my junior year and we also won the banner of our division. I played soccer my freshman year and got the privilege to get pulled up to varsity and play for a playoff game. I also got an MVP. I got to join clubs like fashion clubs and a radio station club which started my freshman year, that helped advertise the events and activities going on within the school. Which then helped us branch out by helping the school become more spirited. Fashion club is a new club my friends made that happened this year. where people get to branch out to find their own personal style. I am also in leadership. Which then I help organize the events going on in the school

I joined a lot of clubs and programs, and AVID and Upward Bound are the ones that helped the most in college readiness. There were a lot of fights but if you stay with a group of trusted people and avoid fights and drama you will be safe.
I really loved the diversity in this school I felt like I belonged. The teachers here, some will genuinely care and you will build relationship with. Some have some red flags for sure.
I feel like the school has a lot of potential in becoming better by providing more resources and focusing on building better culture and academic programs. The administration was also hard to navigate and sometimes important information was not communicated thoroughly or was organized but I enjoyed my time here :)

I've had a great experience attending Bethel for the last four years. I believe I had some of the best moments in high school here at Bethel so far. I've made many friends and I'm constantly surrounded by diverse peers that allows me to feel like I belong too. Our teachers are awesome and so are our students!

Jesse Bethel High School is a subpar school. The academics are not up to standards. They don't have enough teachers or classes. The bathrooms are nasty. The students are diverse but not inclusive.

In all my years at this school, I don’t recall ever seeing any bullying happen, and it’s been a sigh of relief for someone who has had issues with bullies in the past. I love the atmosphere and school spirit, and everyone is generally very friendly. The band program is very important to me, who’s been in band since 3rd grade, and it has kept me going through the pandemic as of recent. All school events like rallies, sports games, cultural celebrations, etc. are all very inspiring and build a sense of community. The teachers are good at what they do, and I’ve built a good relationship with a few. I’m confident that I will cry at my graduation ceremony, realizing that my time here will be over, but I will never forget the memories. I’m proud to be a Jag! Bethel, You Know!

My overall experience at Jesse M. Bethel high school has been great. Jesse Bethel isn't a very wealthy school but they provide us with as many opportunities they can. The staff provide good assistance to the best of their ability, and I take advantage of all of the opportunities available to us.
